The armor proficiencies granted by Mountain Dwarf are completely useless for the STR-focused classes as all of them are already proficient in at least Medium armor. But then as a min-maxer I am taking a hard look at the Mountain Dwarf as my race for my spellcaster so I can get decent AC without multiclassing or dedicating spell slots.
