Seems well made, costs the same as 1/4" plates of same size at local retail, but this 1/2" should hold up to rifles well in my experience. AR500 is the way to go, do not go cheap with lesser grade plate. I suggest you purchase 2" long 7/16 carriage bolts, two nylon lock nuts per bolt, and chain that the bolt can fit thru.
